After listening to Galloway’s speech at the US Senate it certainly makes one think. I certainly find it easy to believe that the media, Bush and Blair got in too deep and are wrong, lied and are covering it up. To quote Galloway : ‘If the world had listened to Kofi Annan, whose dismissal you demanded, if the world had listened to President Chirac who you want to paint as some kind of corrupt traitor, if the world had listened to me and the anti-war movement in Britain, we would not be in the disaster that we are in today. Senator, this is the mother of all smokescreens. You are trying to divert attention from the crimes that you supported, from the theft of billions of dollars of Iraq’s wealth….’ He is also opposed to the Israeli attacks in Lebanon citing Jewish media warping the truth of the war. He certainly sounds plausible. Is it possible that one man has it right and the world has it wrong? I can only imagine how quickly he will fade from popularity as the media stops airing him, which would essentially prove him right….
