I don’t often walk with bdot in the evening but sometimes I do. Usually, I’ve got other things going on. Someone has to make dinner. Regardless, I joined her, Snoog and her walking friend. It is always a nice walk. The ground is soft as it is sandy and covered in pine needles. It reminded me I need to bike there in the near future.

Friday night ball hockey… Phew. I played two games and I’m REALLY feeling it today. The blue team only had three people show up so, I played a fair bit of game one… going at about 80%. Our game was against Green. They keep coming all night. We were ahead most of the night…by one to three goals but they had closed it to one in the dying time of the game. So it wasn’t a very comfortable win at all. I think it is safe to say, if all the team’s players make the game every team can be competitive. We have been experimenting with GoPro footage from the games…I see why the cameras are popular, they are very small, controllable remotely (phone!) and they produce some really good quality footage. After the game a few of us went to PizzaPizza. It has been our post-game hangout for months. It is almost always quiet there… but yesterday. the parking lot was full of kids and cars and the door chime went off all night long. Sure, the weather is a bit nicer, so is everyone coming out of liberation at the same time? Seemed weird.

I guess there is a new King now. Whoopie. I just read he is going to be on our money soon. Sigh… surely it is time to get rid of the freaking monarchy on our money? Put freaking Canadians on Canadian money FFS! So stupid.

Not sure what happened with my old Linux Mint install… but when I tried to boot it I was dropped into a Grub menu. I did some reading and you just have to find the boot partition and then tell Grub to boot it… but I couldn’t find the partition and I tried them all.. none of them booted. That has never happened. I’m not sure if it is related but when I did the origin install somehow I accidentally selected LVM for the partition (which I still don’t understand and I couldn’t find any app to manage it) so I suspect it has something to do with it…but the drive and rebooted many times… *shrug* So – I had to reinstall.. fortunately I’m keeping a record of commands to reconnect everything… Mint does install easily when humans don’t mess it up. I did lose some Steam data – even though the Steam drive was never touched. *shrug!*

*snort* Leafs down 0-2 going to Florida…they need to win both or it could be trouble. I don’t think they will do it…

Those Alberta fires look pretty bad. Hope they get some rain.

Having some odd things happening with Firefox in Mint… I’m giving Brave another shot. It appears to actually run faster and so far, no -issues-.

I’m quite enjoying the Book of Boba Fett. I hope they make more seasons.

And with Spring, the weeding has begun. Damn dandelions. Some flowers too however… I noticed a lovely red tulip in the back garden today. It will get photographed….
